This concept is foreign in many CRE firms. Ken removed those divisive office walls to create a collaborative office environment where all information is shared and utilized to benefit clients and their real estate.


Hobby: Backpacking

Ken backpacks all over the world with his wife Melissa. Their favorite: hiking the west coast trail. Their love for backpacking has been shared with the rest of the Turton team with yearly team building hikes.

A new approach to commercial real estate

When I began Turton Commercial Real Estate my vision was to create a commercial real estate company that truly understood and respected the importance of our clients real estate as investments. Our mission was to provide the best advice possible for our clients to maximize the value and economic return of their investment.

To do this meant a lot of work training agents to fully understand the value proposition of real estate at every stage of its life cycle from land to entitlement to development to fully leased investment to value add renovation project. Not an easy task when one considers the significant difference in property ages and construction types inherent of urban core infill properties. Add to that complex zoning, code compliance and contamination issues and, well, suffice to say it doesn’t happen overnight.

The process started with bringing on the best, brightest and most creative minds in the region. From there we focused on creating a fun, diverse and creative environment within which to learn and execute. Add a dose of humor, couple pints of quality midtown beer, some occasional professional counseling and a whole lot of grit and voila… here we are.

Today our firm has the most intellectual capital and best results in our category. Our impressive and growing list of clients prove it.
